Questions and answers about Florida Green Home
What is Florida Green Home?
Florida Green Home is a Property Assessed Clean Energy or PACE program approved business entity headquartered in Tampa, Florida. It was started by a network of partner businesses to help qualified Florida property owners take advantage of the benefits of the PACE program.
What is the PACE program?
PACE stands for Property Assessed Clean Energy. It is a government-approved clean energy program that provides financing for qualified property owners to take advantage of the benefits of clean energy living. Florida Green Home works with qualified property owners in the state of Florida to obtain 100% financing with no money down for clean energy or renewable energy improvements and upgrades to homes and commercial properties. If you’re interested in qualifying for the Florida PACE program, we will connect you with our partners who are actively working with Florida homeowners for qualifying PACE projects.
What improvements can be financed through PACE?
Qualifying improvements may include energy efficient air conditioning and heating systems, weather-resistant impact windows, new roofing or re-roofing, insulation and more!
Why is your physical address the same as an air conditioning company in Tampa?
Super Heat and Air of Tampa is one of our partner businesses and a preferred contractor of ours for air conditioning and heating projects for the Property Assessed Clean Energy program. We operate under the same building and partner with Super Heat and Air for Florida PACE program air conditioning projects.
Is making payments on my property tax bill a good idea?
PACE financing payments are authorized under Florida State Statute 163.08 and secured by a continuing lien on the property. PACE financing may come with tax benefits (consult with your tax advisor; Florida Green Home does not provide tax advice) and if you sell your property, payments may transfer to the new property owner just like your property taxes.
